# Add Environment

Environment is option and is required when data sources are configured through Gateways.  

To create an environment, select 'Environments' tab from left side menu. Click on 'Environments' tab and initially an empty Environments list is shown. Click on '+' to add an environment which takes a name and description.

Click 'Save' to save the environment.
